I’m home schooled and I have a Bible class as an elective. I was just doing my normal homework, (which is answering 10 questions about each book that we study in the Bible) and right now I’m on Zephaniah, and I found this REALLY cool verse and I wanted to show you.

"The Lord your God is in your midst, a Mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will exult over you with loud singing."

I thought that was really quite amazing. I like the “He’ll quite you with His love” part. I read the study-note about it and here’s what it said…

"…This verse remarkably adds that God Himself will rejoice over you with gladness, indicating that when God’s people seek, follow, rejoice, and trust Him, then God personally delights in them. This is not an aloof, emotionless contentment, but it bursts forth in joyful divine celebration: He will exult over you with loud singing."

Excellent choice of words, I thought…”bursts forth in joyful, divine celebration.”

Sometimes you think of God just being kinda harsh and tough, but He’s not!

He celebrates when we praise and obey Him!

(with the right motives/attitudes/heart, of course.)

Swweeet.
